Delete your GoNails account

This page is for customers of GoNails, the nail salon booking app for Android and iPhone and the website gonails.us. It explains how to delete your account and what happens to your information.

In the app

1. Open GoNails and sign in.
2. Go to Profile, then Settings.
3. Tap Delete account, type DELETE and tap Delete my account.

The account is deleted straight away.

Without the app

Email [email protected] with the subject “Delete my GoNails account”. Send it from the email address on your account, or include the phone number on your account. To make sure the request comes from you, the team may ask you to confirm by replying from that email or by text to that phone number. The account is deleted within 30 days of the request being confirmed, and you get an email when it is done.

What is deleted

• Your name, phone number, email and birthday on your GoNails profile.
• Your sign-in (password, Google or Apple login).
• Your favorite salons.
• Push notifications to your devices are switched off.
• Your GoCoins and vouchers. They cannot be restored.
• Your upcoming appointments are cancelled, and the salons are told.

What is kept

• Reviews you wrote stay up, shown as “Former GoNails member”.
• Past bookings stay with the salons you visited, no longer linked to your profile. Salons may keep their own records as the law requires.
• Gift cards stay with the salon that issued them. Save your codes before you delete; you can still use them in person.
• Copies of some details, such as your phone number in records of text messages already sent, can stay in system logs and database backups for a while after your account is deleted.
